Coal Excavator

Recorder: MICRO-II
Evaluation Method: Rainflow (RF) & Transient Mode (TM)
Channels: Sixteen
Duration: 24 months
Object: Structure of the excavator and its boom
Purpose: Improvement of the load assumption

Special Feature: Data retrieval via Remote Link

A number of strain gauges are distributed over the steel boom of a lignite excavator to supervise and determine the forces at its structure. This long-term measurement is designed for life time estimations and life time extension. The centrally placed MICROII recorder receives the signals from the different sensors via special measuring amplifiers. The distance between recorder and sensors is more than 100 meters. The evaluation is done according to the methods RF + TM. Data is transmitted wireless using the Remote Link option, what also allows remote control of the recorder.
